KATHMANDU :

On this day at the age of 15, Sandeep Lamichhane made his debut as a cricketer for Nepal national team against Namibia in the 2015-17 ICC World Cricket League Championship.

Now, it has been two years and within a short interval, he has made a history in Nepali cricket after becoming the first Nepali cricketer to be selected in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and the Caribbean Premier League (CPL).

Born on 2nd August, 2000 in Syangja, a right-handed leg spinner Sandeep Lamichhane idolizes Sane Warne and Sachin Tendulkar in cricket. With the under 19 national squad, he took a hat-trick in the second match against Ireland in U-19 cricket world cup.

He became the fifth bowler to take hat-trick in the U-19 world cup history. He was also invited by former Australian skipper Michael Clarke to play at the Sydney- based Western Suburbs District Cricket Club in September 2016.

Today, expressing his delights, Sandip lamichhane wrote on his twitter: "2 Years completed!! The day when i first player for Nepal. Still a long way to go. Thanks to each and everyone for your immense love. Its been an amazing journey so far. Lots of love to all. Keep supporting Nepali Cricket. Jai Nepal"
