Udayapur District Survey Office chief nabbed with Rs 50,000 bribe

GAIGHAT: 

A team of Commission for the Investigation of Abuse and Authority (CIAA) nabbed the Chief of Udayapur District Survey Office (DSO) while taking bribe from a consumer on Thursday morning.

According to a source, the CIAA team arrested DSO Chief Shyambabu Prasad Sah from his quarters while he was taking Rs 50,000 bribe from a consumer seeking the improvement of mapping work, at 9:00 am today.

Sah was arrested while he was allegedly collecting an advance on Rs 200,000 demand from a consumer in exchange for the service.

The consumer’s identity has been kept in confidentiality for security reasons.

Meanwhile, the DSO chief is now in the custody of the CIAA for further investigation.
